Zulueta Re-elected President

Nov. 1, 2008 — Alexis Zulueta was re-elected President of the association during the general assembly meeting and elections conducted today at the Board Room of the Contra Costa Water District in Concord. Also elected during the meeting were the following:

Selenna Franco-Cefre, 1st Vice President;
Daisy Rodriguez, 2nd Vice-President;
Oliver Colmenar, Secretary;
Dee Faraon, Assistant Secretary;
Diosy Rey, Treasurer; and
Cherry Utleg, Auditor.

Romi Beza, chair of the nominating committee, presented to the general assembly the slate that was nominated by association members during the previous general assembly meeting held last August 22 at the Zulueta residence in Danville. The entire slate was elected unanimously during the meeting.

The elections were finally held after months of delay. To make up for lost time, the new board, in consultation with the general assembly, promptly scheduled a few important dates in the upcoming weeks. To begin with, the association’s new executive officers will be having its first board meeting later in the month (Nov. 29). This will be followed by the annual Christmas party on Sunday December 7. The installation of the new officers will be simultaneously held during the holiday party. Another general assembly is scheduled on Saturday Dec. 27, also at the Contra Costa Water District Board Room. Lastly, the annual anniversary dinner-dance has been set for Saturday Feb. 28. Details will be announced later.

Congratulations to the new officers!
